 Welcome Amanda Ditty - Learn Something New This is a project I’m very proud of. I’ve never done anything like this before in my life and I am so glad I did. As a person who has never really “taken a side” or had strong feelings about any popular or controversial topic, I have always been terrified to her what people have to say. What if they say something offensive? What if they say something that I agree with and those who are close and who I love don’t agree with it? What if I say something offensive? There is always “What if’s” running crazy through my brain, so much so that I could never even try to speak up if a conversation did start.   I have learned something in my 21 years of life and that is, you never grow if you cover yourself with like-minded people. I’ve gained friendships I never thought I would have, and they have blessed me and enlightened me to become a better person. Being Selfish to be Selfless Learn Something New Brooke Lenhardt is one of the kindest and most giving people I know, as her roomate in the first couple semesters of college she was always so reliable and there for anyone who needed it. She would go on walks with me just to listen to me complain about anything if i really needed it, she would walk with me to the store to get my favorite ice cream. I've seen Brooke do countless acts of selflessness and I wouldn't call a single bone in her body selfish. In this episode Brooke explains how being selfish is the best thing you can do for yourself and others in order to serve others in the best way possible. I personally know Natalia as she was one of my very first roommates in my freshman year of college. She has always been a very honest and warm hearted person and this episode really shows that.  Natalia has big dreams, like everyone she hopes to fulfil all of her dreams and give her children the opportunity to fulfill theirs. All of this desire and motivation comes from her Father. Natalias father used to sleep on dirt floors and was not born in America.He had it rough for the majority of his life but his motivation and desire to give his children the life he never had has driven all of his kids to work hard to maintain that level of life.
